The opening day of the tournament will see two electrifying matches with the world number 8, Dominic Thiem taking on the winner of three ATP Tour titles, Karen Khachanov for a place in the semifinals in the second encounter.

World number one and 14-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic and world number two Rafael Nadal, who will be making his ninth appearance at MWTC, both received byes until day two of the tournament, where they will face off against the winners from day one.
With four out of the six male players featuring in the top 10, this year's lineup is amongst the best ever. The players look to start their season on a strong note and fans attending the Championship can expect to witness an adrenaline-filled three days of intense on-court action.
