ArmInfo. Armenia is interested in developing Armenian- Norwegian relations, said Deputy Chairman of the Armenian Parliament Hakob Arshakyan at a meeting with the head of the Norwegian parliamentary delegation Tellef Inge Morland in Tashkent.
According to the press service of the Armenian Parliament, a number of issues related to strengthening relations between the two countries, establishing security and peace in the region, as well as international security were discussed during the meeting.
Tellef Inge Morland emphasized the crucial role of concluding a lasting peace agreement in ensuring stability and prosperity in the region. According to him, the situation in the region remains difficult, but progress is possible only through constructive dialogue and commitment to peace.
He also invited the Armenian parliamentary delegation to participate in the parliamentary segment of the Internet Governance Conference, which will be held in Norway this year.
The interlocutors emphasized the need to deepen and strengthen inter-parliamentary ties. The parties attached great importance to the diversification of the economy, which will serve the process of visa liberalization with the European Union, will facilitate the movement of citizens and businessmen, as well as the development of economic relations between the two sides. Arshakyan presented detailed information on the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and the peace process.
