TENNIS greats Todd Woodbridge, Alicia Molik and Lleyton Hewitt are rallying behind FightMND and footy legend Neale Daniher’s efforts to find a cure for the debilitating and deadly Motor Neurone Disease.
Two-time Grand Slam winner Hewitt is redoubling his support for the cause, having last year slid at the Big Freeze at the MCG. He is encouraging Australians to buy a Smash MND visor.
In showing their support, Hewitt is joined by former Melbourne stars David Neitz and Russell Robertson, as well as Neale’s daughter Bec.
Tennis Australia has picked FightMND, Australia’s leading driver of research into treatment and cure for MND as its charity partner as Melbourne heats up for the Australian Open.
Hewitt’s tick of approval for the Smash MND visors - a summer alternative to the Freeze MND beanies from the mid-footy season Big Freeze campaign - will help raise much-needed money to help fund research into fighting the disease.
